Vango Sleeping Bags - Details

Snugpak's Softie Chrysalis bags give versatility to tackle any trip. The key to it's ability is controlling temperature and comfort by being able to transform from a warm, snug sleeping bag, into a cool and spacious sleeping bag.

The bag boasts all the features of a traditional sleeping bag but the jumbo zip baffle can be opened out to give much more room within the sleeping bag. The extra space within the bag allows more air to move around keeping the bag cooler. This temperature management gives your bag much more flexibility allowing you to confidently select a product that can perform in a range of different conditions, si if the temperature drops you zip the sleeping bag tighter and instantly boost the performance.

Omega Shaping

A patented Omega design will 'hug' the body and is engineered to give more heat retention by moving the zips or seams to the bottom of the bag and reducing possible loss of heat.

TLS - Thermic Loft System

The Thermic Loft System makes use of a layering technique which combines classic synthetic insulation with a new interlocked lattice construction to produce our most effective thermal insulation system yet. This is achievable thanks to the unique way in which the Thermic Loft System creates and manages its thermodynamic abilities. The lattice construction utilises a formation of perpendicular interwoven thermal tubes that, combined with classic construction creates an insulation system with more loft and greater heat retention properties than was previously possible. A minimum of stitching through the insulation is used in the combination process to eliminate cold spots and ensure the maximum efficiency of this advance in insulative technology.

Insulite Superfine

Insulite Superfine insulation is a blend of carefully selected fibres, which combine to produce a filling that has excellent loft characteristics, is highly compressible and extremely durable. The fibres are ideal for use in the new advanced shingle construction providing great warmth to weight ratios.

Polair RSP

A lightweight ripstop polyester (40 Denier, 240T Polyester Ripstop) which has strength, colour fastness, fibreproofness and durability.

Offset Double Layer Construction

Two layers of filling seperated with two layers of scrim to keep the fill sliding rather than snagging or lumping. Used on Nitestar, Orion and Astral.

Single Layer Construction

Single layer, stitched through construction, used on Vango's Wilderness, Ultralite Voyager and Venom.
