Two Person Tents are generally considered ideal for backpackers giving that extra capacity over a single person tent. So, as well as room for yourself, there is also space for storing the other bacpacking gear. But they are not lightweight on standards. Like larger tents they have taped seams, waterproof flysheets, groundsheets and many other features you would expect.
