- Softie - the brand name for the synthetic (Polyester) filling Snugpak use for the softie range of sleeping bags. It uses superfine yarns bound with special resins to produce a luxurious down like feel. The yarns used are staple yarns as they are natural insulations that closely resemble the structure of natural down. It is easy to care for, washable, yet still retains a lot of its thermal properties when wet.
