Designed to team up with our award-winning Elite Jacket to form one of the very lightest technical waterproof suits in the world, our Elite Overtrousers pack small enough to be a permanent fixture in your rucksack - even in high summer, they're always worth carrying 'just in case'.

The fabric is something really special. It's a 3-layer material consisting of a polyamide outer, our high-spec Barricade membrane and a fine tricot lining. It's amazingly durable - but at only 70 grams per square metre, astonishingly light. To put that in perspective that's 12gsm lighter than our summer shirt fabric. Which, when you stop to think about it, is almost incredible.

They have been treated with our Durable Water Repellency finish to stop the face fabric wetting out and maximise breathabilty. This industry-leading process has been proven to operate at 80% effectiveness after 20 washes - which for waterproof trousers probably means 10 years.

With a fabric this light, we could have opted to strip out features and components and make something that's so light it could float away. But we've decided not to. Our Elite Overtrousers are built with durable, high-quality components and include all the essential features. They're fully-functional shell trousers that live up to Rohan's reputation for strength, durability and longevity.

They feature long side-zips with two-way pullers. They're easy to get on over big boots and allow you to ventilate the upper legs. The hems are adjustable to give either a loose or technical close fit around your boots.

The waist is adjustable and features an elasticated, extended panel at the rear for improved comfort and a great fit. Soft-touch fabrics line the waist.

The zipped rear pocket doubles as a Packpocket into which the trousers pack for compact storage.
