Outwell Tents - Major Tent Features

Wind Stabiliser System

Introduced in 2011, the Wind Stabiliser System is definately the most siginificant contributor towards overall tent stability in recent years. It is proven too, under the most testing conditions. The highly effective, Outwell Stabiliser System uses their special developed secure connecting system as a direct attachment point between the flysheet and tent pole. It is processes and innovations like this that ensure Outwell can offer the most stable tents, with designs that really can cope in the windiest of conditions

Outwell Easy Pegging System

Another major innovation, but one that truly lives up to its name! The key here, is the use of three different colour-coded types of pegs. This ensures pitching is both straightforward and contributes to the inherent stability of any Outwell tent.

Here, Outwell use grey anchor steel pegs at the tent's four corners, luminous pegs to complement the Luminous Guylines and black plastic pegs for the rest of the general pegging. Simple, but highly effective.

Outwell Tinted Windows

Exactly the type of market-leading feature that is set to really wow campers. We take something like tinted windows for granted in all other aspects of our lives, so why not have them on tents, where they really can be useful?

Not only do Outwell's Tinted Windows add a whole new, futuristic look to their tents, they serve two key functions - their UV coating offers protection from the warmth of the sun's glares as well as still giving great views out.

Outwell Extended Frame System

The Outwell Extended Frame System is unique. Here again, there is superior headroom throughout the whole tent, as well as maximum stability. This is thanks to the initial strength of the tent's main poles being able to support an offshoot pole via a cleverly designed special junction.

An additional ergonomical benefit is it makes the whole tent seem more spacious.

Outwell Sleep Comfort

Although all of Outwell's tents are actually capable of sleeping more, Outwell use this Sleep Comfort recommendation for the number of people - adults and children - that can be acommodated in optimum comfort and space. Industry standards allow for 60cm width per person for sleeping compartments. But at Outwell they say that is not always enough. That is why they have their own Sleeping Comfort recommendations. Outwell Sleep Comfort allows for 70-80cm per person, which can then take into account airbeds, mattresses etc, as well as any personal belongings that ensure a great night's sleep and a great holiday's camping.

Outwell Panorama Room

Like adding a conservatory or sun-room at home, the Panorama Room/Panorama Front fulfills exactly the same function on an Outwell tent. While the Panorama Front acts more as a sun porch, the Panorama Room really does open up all the living room space in the whole tent. All Outwell's research proves this is exactly in line with customer demands to make the most of those sunny days.

Outwell Dry Zip System

The Dry Zip System is an improvement that effectively prevents any damp getting into the zips, with luminous piping adding strength and providing a safety barrier as well as an instant identifier.

The Outwell Nevada M, winner of Best Touring Tent in 2011, has a two-room floorplan that could sleep up to five if needed in a 3+2 Universal Inner of breathable polyester, plus a comfortable living area with three-way access including a Rain-safe side door. Like all Nevadas, poles are Duratec fibreglass, while the flysheet is Outtex® 4000 with fully taped seams. The OSG System (Outwell Sealed Ground System) flooring keeps both bugs and muck at bay, but it is also in a practical, easy-clean double-coated polyethylene.

Note the Outwell Trout Lake 4 has a Polycotton Outer Tent - Polycotton is durable, tough, more resistant to creasing. It's high breathability aids coolness in the tent during warm or hot conditions.
