Brasher Chichon Boot (Boys) - A junior walking boot with a Gore-Tex lining ideal for walking on well defined paths and over moderate terrain
Suede upper with tough mesh panels for extra ventilation Gore-Tex breathable and waterproof membrane Anti clogging REVAlution outsole for superb grip and durability. The Brasher Chichon also has a stiffened insole for extra underfoot stability and support .
For the second year running Chichon has come top in Trail magazine's toughest test for Children's Footwear
The Chichon is top, as in 2006. It is really built to take the knocks, and it boasts a very aggressive sole, by far the best here. The upper lacks too much stitching, so durability should be pretty good. The ankle cuff is quite high so you get lots of support. The toe box is slightly more solid than others, and the heel cup is completely solid, so feet are well protected. There is a lot of stiffness in the sole, good cushioning underfoot and a Gore-Tex waterproof lining.
Buy it if you want your children to be able to climb the hills rather than look at them from the valley, then this boot is ideal, but it is also perfect for yomping across a muddy ploughed field or splashing through puddles.
